Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us and we want to let you know how we use and store your personal information.

 

1) What do you do with contact details made via the website? (phone or email)

Flexible Therapy only uses them to reply to the initial enquiry. We do not collect any personal information direct from the website.

2) How long is my information held for?

For as long the therapy is in progress, client notes are retained for a period of 5 years or for minors, 5 years after their 18th birthday. Notes are then destroyed. 

Email addresses are deleted 1 month after enquiry or 2 months after final session/contact. Client phone numbers are deleted from phones 1 month after sessions end unless otherwise agreed.  

 

3) How and why are you collecting data?

Flexible Therapy only uses the data for communication purposes in expressed interested to the counselling services. It is used in a safe and ethical manner in line with EU General Data Protection Regulations May 2018. Your personal information is not shared with other people without your consent. We are registered with the ICO.

 

4) How do you store my data?

Flexible Therapy ensures that your personal information is stored securely and confidentially. Phone numbers are stored on password protected phones and full names are not stored. Paper notes are kept in locked cabinets.

Right to Access: You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information. You also have the right to ask us to amend or change any incorrect information about you. Please send a written request to your counsellor should you wish to access any session notes.

 

5) How do I let you know that I do not wish for my information to be kept?

Right to be Forgotten: You have the right to ask Flexible Therapy to erase any information that we hold about you. This includes your personal information that is no longer relevant to original purposes, or if you wish to withdraw consent. In all cases and when considering such requests, these rights are obligatory unless it’s information that we have a legal obligation to retain.
